Default midi learn stopped working properly

hi there

i go to assign a knob to a parameter, for example the cutoff on a synth in the usual way, Parem, learn, wiggle the knob around. However its stopped working properly, ive tested in several different plug ins.

now once its been assigned the parameter on the synth only moves a very small amount, a fraction of the full range that it should do

a little frustrating. Any ideas anyone?

many thanks

chris

What MIDI Device (model name) are you using in this case?

In general:

- Check what CC Mode (Absolute, Relative, etc.) is selected in the MIDI/OSC Learn Window when assigning a command
- Check the CC Parameters (for the knob, etc.) on the MIDI device itself

thanks for your reply

using various soft synths

fortunately its "magically" started working again today, must have been some kind of bug as i could see it was all linking up as it should have

As solger pointed out, if the knob needs relative instead of absolute or vice versa, the knob will only turn a little bit. This is set by the user during the learn operation so if missed, it won't be obvious that is what occured.

^^^
If that's not it, perhaps you could compress a simple problem project file (no audio samples needed) into a ZIP file and post it here as an attachment so that we can have a look at it and see what's (not) happening?

How to post attachments (in Post #1)
