Default Audient sono defective or I'm a noob? HELP

Guys please help!

I bought an audient sono and after some recording I wanted to test its preamps. I did the experiment in the video and came to the conclusion that the unit is defective. I sent it to the seller where he talked with audient support and they concluded that I am defective (I do sth wrong and have these results).

In a few words, when I record from the valve circuit of audient sono while have other tracks playing or the metronome, the other tracks or the metronome are recorded to the main track. This happens only when I record through the valve circuit not through the line ins.

So, since you are Reaper experts tell me do I do sth wrong are I just waste 260euros to a crappy interface with crappy support?

Here the experiment (the seller refused to do this experiement. It was like he knew that sth is wrong.)

Thanks in advance

Give us a clue in the text of your msg as to what your test was & what went wrong.

Video is too long to watch "on spec".

Sorry.

i see that you have the Reaper option to release the driver when in background. Try removing that option. Its in the Reaper preferences (CTRL + P , go to Audio and uncheck the option that says - Close audio device when stopped and application is inactive)

I would recommend to update Reaper to its latest version too, 6.33 at the time of this comment.

Another thing worth mention is the low buffer size you are using. Maybe you could increase a bit of the buffer size so the CPU doesn't need to process so much information on a short period of time.
Hope this helps.

From what I managed to see it seems to be some sort of a crosstalk(?) in that tube circuit, I bet there's some tube-heads here knowing what might be the cause.

-75dB seems awfully quiet thought, can't imagine many situations where it will be problematic.

edit: what does a tube do in an audio interface anyway?

Keeps your feet warm if you rest them on it.
