Default MIDI Editor Help

Hello everyone
Had to put Reaper aside for a while, but I'm back at it.

I was following along with a Reaper video on YouTube when I stumbled onto a problem (probably a simple one). After recording a virtual instrument with my MIDI keyboard, I opened the MIDI editor and couldn't figure out how to play back from a selected starting point.

In other words, how do I click on a giving starting point in the MIDI editor and play back from that point? Hope that makes sense.

Thanks.

If you leftclick anywhere in the MIDI editor's ruler or in the piano roll, the edit cursor should move to that position, and playback will start where the edit cursor is.

If the edit cursor *doesn't* move when you click, it is possible that the mouse modifier actions have inadvertently been changed. Go to Preferences -> Mouse modifiers -> Context: MIDI piano roll / MIDI ruler, and check that everything is as you prefer. (If you need to reset all mouse modifiers, you can click on Import/Export -> Reset modifiers to factory default.)
