Default Zyklus Improvisor functionality using only Reaper and JS plugins?

First a Youtube video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDZUUOKuL0Y

Then a forum link which discusses that tool: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=280406

My question is: Would it be possible to develop a similar tool using only Reaper internal functionality plus JS-plugin capabilities?

Zyklus improvisor seems to be a tool with following essential features afaik

1. 8 track midi-looper for real-time composition, each track consisting of 4 layers
2. Real-time chord recognition and sequence manipulation based on those chords, also over multiple octaves

Are any tools known which behave similarly?

It'd be possible with some custom tools but a giant nightmare to develop. Js fx aren't great for stuff that complex, sadly.

The second point would be more difficult I believe?

10 years later, some more thoughs

First point is easy, just take 8 * 4 = 32 tracks. Bind to 4 x 8 matrix grid, e.g. qwerty keys, there you have your 4 layers and 8 tracks.

Second point, which chord recognition tools are already available as jsfx, input a set of notes let us say 1..10 notes input per midi channel, output key (A..G) and type/scale (major, minor, and a few more scales maybe, at least major and minor chords can be easily detected, just by looking at interval sizes). This output can be used then to set the parameters of other jsfx via parameter modulation with parameter linking. Then it should work.

But there is already separate fantastic midi sequencer which can do all this and more, Sequetron by Phil Tipping.
