This is what I wrote when listening to the two videos:
First video:
0:40 where's the horn section?
1:25 personally I'd appreciate more kicking drum sound, but this works too
1:55 but so much is happening on the horns, that not seeing them...
2:12 THERE WAS A VISIBLE TRUMPET haa...
I have heard so much synth horns that I am getting sceptical, but yes there was at least one real horn
3:01 did I mention already that I would not mind finding myself married with the singer?
3:51 show more horns!
One thing that is important for me in music is always what kind of emotion it transfers to me, regardless of the style. This particular style, jazzy, is not one of my favorites, but I was able to identify with the emotion it was giving to me. The video helped in delivering that, but it was just a catalyst, not the beef.
Second video:
0.21 aah now I see the horn section properly! Thank you sir!
1:42 something is right here.
Yes the band makes this work,
And as a cherry on top of the pie you have that female singer, just right. The male singer is not bad either.
Yes,
when listening to music, especially from this kind of forum, mostly various things start to bug me. In these two songs, all the basics were right, plus you seemed to have fun doing those, plus the female singer has the looks - all this summing up so that if I knew you were playing in some dance-hall nearby I would not mind at all joining the party and checking your full act out, live.
Who were you in this band? Where these original compositions?

The first video ("Armagnac & Foie Gras") had an odd polarity flip around 23 sec., very brief.
The second video ("Le Pas de Salsa"), from approximately 1 min 23 sec to 1 min 51 sec, it went from stereo to mono. I liked the spread of the stereo mix, so I'm not sure what happened.
The bass sounded like it was recorded through an amp, which might be the intent. For my preference of acoustic bass, it sounds more natural from a mic. Perhaps the space would not allow it.
I prefer a more natural piano sound rather than a keyboard, but again, acoustic pianos are a true challenge to record in a room with live musicians.
The choices for tone and volume balance were good, and the musicians were quite talented.

Hi. Thanks for sharing. The tonality and arrangement here took me back fifty years! The composition and arrangement shows huge amounts of discipline and tightness. But I prefer looser funk, myself. Good job playing and mixing. But what if there were more 'space', more improv, more noisy exuberence? I enjoyed it though.

Great stuff. Really liked this. Like MSORE said, took me back. the fact that everything's real made it that much nicer to listen to.
