Else remove selected items (40006, Item: Remove items)
I don't see the difference between the sws action and the 40312 action.

The difference is in this situation (no selected items crossing time selection, but selected items outside time selection):

In this case 40312 does nothing but SWS action deletes the selected item(s) outside time selection (that's why it's called adaptive = acts depending on the situation).

yes, you're right.
it seems that when we talk about content, it's related to time selection in native actions.
When we talk about area, it's related to both time selection and the razor editing area.
However, the sws action in question also works with the razor zone. I just noticed

another question: with regard to actions notified as "obsolete", does this mean that the same native action now exists for all these actions? otherwise, why obsolete?

on the other hand, there are also other lines in reaper that are marked obsolete, notably mouse modifiers (but this has nothing to do with sws).

thanks

Yes, it's normal.
When marker actions were added in SWS take markers didn't exist yet, so only project markers are supported currently.

Take marker actions would be quite inefficient since it would pretty much query all items from every track in the project if they overlap or overlapped the play cursor, then for those that do, check if one of their take (or just the active take?) has a take marker that crossed the play cursor since the last check, over and over.

Can't it be done by caching the markers on project/playstate change without querying all items at all times? Just curious

EDIT: nvm, even if it was technically doable, i feel take marker actions could lead to a lot of "wtf happened" situations where an action triggers and you can't even see why (hidden track, item offscreen, etc)

it's strange, the action I mentioned in the previous post doesn't select the last items in the tracks.

Select items after currently selected items in same tracks as currently selected items tracks.

Other than updating through Reapack, where's the best place to get latest pre-releases of SWS extensions?

The SWS website has 2.12.1. Looking for link to the 2.14.1 update.

https://www.sws-extension.org/download/pre-release/ (it's "pre-release" in name only since we can't update the homepage)

Default SWS 2.14.0.1 Make UI Laggy

Hi - Bringing your attention with an issue with 2.14.0.1 of SWS making the Reaper UI laggy.

Linking to an existing post (Made before I knew it was definitely something to do with SWS).

Is it this? https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=288774

If not, instructions to duplicate from a fresh portable install/blank project would be helpful.

I think it may be related. Running from a clean install, Reaper 7.16, SWS 2.14.0.1, and removing all visual spacers in the project, then there is no UI lag when viewing the bottom half of the tracks. The lag seems to be introduced when the visual spacers are there. Also, the problem doesn't occur in SWS 2.12.1.3 (Stable Release).

I did a little more debugging on this.

I replaced most of my tracks with empty reaper tracks.

There is a single visual spacer, which sits above a Fixed Items Lane track.

When playing back, and the fixed item lane track is visible on the screen then there is no lag. When I vertically scroll so the fixed item lane track is off the screen then the lag starts.

If I remove the visual spacer there is no lag. Or if I leave the visual spacer, and remove the fixed lanes option for the track, then there is no lag.

Here is a video - https://jumpshare.com/v/1hk9dme1TXiv...7855QPxuwggvNm
