Default InstaChord plugin and midi routing

I've tried to get InstaChord do the same thing as XFER Record's Cthulhu does. However, to no avail. In other words, I try to send InstaChord's output into a VST instrument but I get no sound.

Could anyone give me an idea of what I'm doing wrong?

Moreover, I contacted the developer but he said that "Reaper does not support MIDI routing". I don't understand what this guy tries to say. It sounds amazing in the light of the fact Reaper is the one of the most flexible DAWs in terms of routing capabilities.

InstaChord has both audio and MIDI inputs and outputs. Check out this thread for help:

No problem with instachord in reaper
Choice chords from chords A and chords B
then Play Picks A or Picks B
Or download midichords from Insert Piz Here
No big different but free

If this guy told you that, he is simply wrong.
Reaper is a routing powerhouse !!!

Can you describe how you tried to get it working.
Do you have both plugs on one track?

I don´t have Instachord but if it has an internal soundsource you may have to deactivate that.
Maybe you have to activate midi output.
