Default Can reaper exclude time signature info when copying a region and it's contents?

I couldn't find anything in the user guide that addresses this and I don't know how to make a custom action that would do it but maybe there is one.
Currently, if I cmd+left click to copy a region and its contents Reaper will copy the original's time signature and place a time signature marker where the copy has been dragged to.
Is there a way to copy a region and it's contents but exclude time signature and tempo markers/info?

AFAIK no, but you can easily use Alt click (Windows) or Options click (Mac) to delete the time sig marker.

Ctrl Alt drag will copy the region without contents. This will copy without time sig or media items, which is probably not what you want.

Thanks Nicholas,
Deleting the added time signature is what is causing the problem I'm trying to avoid. The problem I'm having is when a region is dragged and automatically places a time signature, deleting it can cause other time signatures to shift. Especially if the time signature that reaper adds does not account for all of the beats present until the next time signature. Unless another time signature is added before deleting it, then deleting them both but this can get tedious if there's a lot of measures. Is there a way to copy and paste items in the same way that dragging a region works? There is a script "Copy items within time selection to project markers, remove overlaps.lua' that does this but it copies the regions to all the markers in the project.

For anyone else this was added in the scripts forum:

The chord sheet in ReaTrak will copy regions and items without time signatures.
It can be done in the chord sheet editor or the scripts
Script: ReaTrak copy measures at cursor.lua
Script: ReaTrak paste measures at cursor (insert).lua
Script: ReaTrak paste measures at cursor (over).lua
Script: ReaTrak paste measures at cursor (chords only insert).lua
Script: ReaTrak paste measures at cursor (chords only over).lua
