Default How to elevate level on individual track without clipping?

What I have been doing up til now is duplicating the track so then it's louder and doesn't clip. This is kind of a hassle though and sometimes I end up with 10 tracks for what was only two separate tracks in the beginning.

Any advice?

Lower the faders for the other tracks. If your project is 24 bit, there is no reason to be that close to clipping. Turn down the faders and turn up your monitors.

Or use a compressor to turn the track up without clipping it, though this will kill your dynamic range. I'd go with "turn everything else down" first though.
