Default Superior Drummer 2 "could not be loaded"

Hi-

This loads just fine in a new project, but I get the above message when I try to load it in an existing one. This is a 38-track project, CPU use 1.70%, total FX = 11. RAM use 599MB, System free 770/2047MB.

MOTU Ultralite
1.87 gigahertz Intel Core 2 Duo
2048 kilobyte secondary memory cache

Any ideas why SD2 won't load in this project?

Thanks-

-Susan

Hi Jason-

No, I just tried adding it to the existing project and a new one before I posted, nothing at all changed in between. Works in the new, but not the old.

The only other odd thing I've noticed is that REAPER doesn't see EZDrummer at all, yet it loads fine in SONAR.

I'll try refreshing REAPER's VST list and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks-

remember to clear the cache/refresh, not just refresh

check the vstplugins.ini too to see if it shows up there

EZ Drummer is some other name in the reaper vsti list. Try (Toontrack) in the vsti filter.

@Jason - Yes, I did remember to do that. The first time I got a huge garbage text error (really -- not just code-type stuff). It didn't error out after I rebooted and ran it again. Haven't tried SD2 in the problem project yet.

@zappsunzorn - Ah -- it's called "Dfh Sampler" in REAPER. Didn't know that! I went ahead and renamed it so I won't forget.

Thanks to you both-

Well, this time SD2 loaded, then REAPER just disappeared without a word!

This doesn't happen in 2.54, so I posted it in that "other" forum.

Thanks-
