Default Free Metal MIDI Drum Grooves

A few days ago, I asked around if there was a free metal drum groove library. The answer seemed to be no, so I've put together a quick website to freely share metal drum grooves to the community.

If you'd like to contribute, there is a page to upload, with you listed as the author. I'll move them to the correct categories. I am still uploading my own grooves. Feedback is welcome.

That's actually a really neat idea. There don't seem to be a lot of MIDI file websites anymore.

Maybe you might also want to make a page for MIDI basslines, perhaps even MIDI guitar riffs (since a lot of music producers use virtual guitars like RealLPC, RealStrat, etc) ?

I'll gladly contribute, I'm just curious how you decided upon the suggested key map? Do you have any preference as far as number of bars?

Maybe in the future - I just want to see if this one takes off at all. As of today, no one else has contributed - and that won't stop me adding my own stuff, but it would be good to see content from others.

That would be great. There is a MIDI map on the page (https://sites.google.com/view/metal-midi/midi-map).
As for bars, I usually do about 3 and then individual fill-ins. This is modeled after the MT Power Drum Kit groove library.

I'm working on setting up a template so I should have some files to upload after I finish testing it out in a day or two.

I'm thinking of contributing of a series of various blast beats MIDI files:

i.e.; a 1 or 2 measure midi file of
- traditional blast
- Euro-blast
- Suffo-blast
- Hoglan blast
etc.

Something like that, just to showcase the various different types of blasts.

And maybe thrash beats, the Motorhead or "D-Beat", double kicks, etc.
