Default Q for devs: Could this behavior be possible in Reaper?

Hi Developers or people with some coding knowledge.

Disclaimer; I'm curious not so much as to if it could be done (because i'm sure it possible in theory) but more regarding whether or not it would be simple enough to make happen without tons of work..

A good few VST's have a knob "shift" key, whereby the user can hold [shift] + move a fade, knob, value of any sort, and make much smaller, finer adjustments. Native Instruments VST's all (or most?) have this feature implemented and it's very useful, imo. I think maybe other DAWs have this, but I can't recall for sure specifically. I suppose it's not likely a simple task but what would be required in order to achieve that behavior inside all of Reaper? I want to have the same functionality on Reaper fades, etc.. such as on the sliders in VST Default UI view.

For REAPER's plugins, try holding Control key down while moving sliders with mouse to get finer adjustment.

Ctrl+drag.

Optionally there could be a script for super fine (in reaper it is something down to 0.0000000000000001 floating point number) parameter adjustment. mpl_InteractiveToolbar could be an example how this could be done.

I have not gotten around to testing this beyond in just a few area, but so far the few I tried, CTRL+Drag did not have any effect on the sensitivity of, say; FX dry/wet mix knob on FX windows.
