Default Ringo Dampened Drums with EQ

I wonder how possible this is? I'm using SM Drums sfz at present and I love all the samples in it. It's really flexible. The range of tones you can cook up is awesome.

I wonder if it's possible to eq such samples into that tea toweled sound? I've had some success with snares, but the toms are a bit trickier. Getting the ring out is really tough.

Maybe with a gate or transient shaper. I think it's more about the decay than the tone. Dynamic EQ could help too.

Hi kirk, the sfz version doesn't have release controls that I know of. I don't have the manual handy for the sfz version, do you? D Smolken
who programmed the sfz might have included it, I'm not sure.

I did include release controls for the toms in the Kontakt version, but that's not going to help you.

When you get the drums done you could send me the RPP with the midi tracks and I could try to fix them for you.

Fair deal. I'm part way there already. It's just a cool option to have
