Not only easy on the eye but quite appealing as well!
This should make a worthy addition to my theme collection.

Your contribution is much appreciated,

Default Sorry Everybody

I downloaded the newest version of Win Zip and apparently it sucks, especially since it's not working. I did this at work (hee-hee) so I'll upload the theme tomorrow. Thank you all for your support and love. Happy Easter everyone.

Yeah, Win-Zip is shit (up there with Acrobat, Real Audio...). You need the brilliant open source alternative 7zip.

Just as I was about to mention how it is hard to see which tracks you have selected, you put a little green line around the tracks and make them super visible and stylish. Great stuff. Cool theme.

I noticed the selected track problem too (obviously), so I felt that was the way to go. Thanks for mentioning it!

I keep getting surprised by how themes that may look really cool in a screenshot might not be to my liking when I use them or vice versa.

I thought this one looked pretty cool but not all that remarkable at first glance, but once I downloaded it and used it I think it's one of the best I've seen. Very nice work!

I actually keep improving it (well improvements in my eyes) each time I find that it's the graphics slowing down a session. Keep an eye for any new postings.

Yep, that's it, this is my default now. Just the right blend of clarity and smoothness. The only changes I've made have been tiny little personal things like using interlaced meters and removing the color difference between even and odd tracks.

Excellent work, there's a lot of cool looking themes out there but this one just feels great to work with over long periods of time.

EDIT: Oh, hey, you were the one who made A Mix Of Others! I was looking around the forum to find who made that one and I couldn't find a thread. It was my default before this one when I was digging the lighter themes. Seems we have similar tastes.

I'm glad that some people (including yourself) are really benefiting from my themes. Although they are not totally original like Tallisman's, I try to design the theme entirely around the title...Easy On The Eyes is just that.

I've made quite a few changes so far in the next update, including selected font changes and different background panels for folder (this is very helpful when trying to distinguish whether the folder is a stem or bus or a track.

Any comments of things I can possibly improve on Mind Riot?

Not much of anything that isn't just personal preference. I like interlaced meters and I might change the meter color to a cool blue just because I like blue. But that's not really an improvement, just a preference tweak.

The only thing I can think of right now is that the transport buttons could maybe be a little clearer and easy to see. Maybe a bit more contrast in the colors, just to make them easier to read from a bit away from the screen.

I've actually been trying to come up with something in regards to the transport, but am drawing on a blank. I really like the current style, but you're right it's tough to see from a distance. We'll see what happens.

Very, very nice! This theme appeals to me more than any other in a long time.

Just downloaded it from your link in the previous post and it looks superb, however the transport and toolbar buttons don't look like the screenshot. New link needed?

cheers!

I like the new transport buttons a lot, but I think I like the old tool buttons better. I also liked the sends button better than the new deal. I feel like I'm being a downer here, I feel all guilty. But I think I like the old one better.

Is it still available somewhere?

Never mind, I went ahead and changed a couple things around myself. I actually used the toolbar buttons from A Mix Of Others. I also switched the sends button back to the Vixie style and also changed the recording mode button back to the Vixie style as well.

First time I've ever messed with the buttons instead of just the colors. I've taken my first step toward amateur theming!

Easy On The Eyes (the current version) is available for download from my signature below. I'm very happy that you're becoming involved in themeing, but beware...It's VERY Addictive. BTW- the old transport buttons are still available from within the theme folder in another folder titled Alternate Graphics. Also, the transport that we're talking of is credited to Ted Warigo, although I made some edits to have alternate graphics for Play Sync, Rec Loop Punch, & Rec Item Punch.

Thank You to all that either use this, pieces of this, or get inspiration from this theme.

Thank you for this, it is currently my first theme of choice (closely followed by Vixie Plain 2 and Reaperton Life).

For my own preferences, I've made a couple of minor changes that for my mind just add the finishing touches. So when Track FX are set to Bypass, the FX button shows as the same colour as the FX set to bypass in the Mixer, also normal FX in the Mixer window show up as the same colour as the FX button when set to normal with FX loaded. This seems to make it easier to read.

Okay, here's a couple screenshots but I doubt it would be worth it to post the theme itself, I didn't do much. I hope posting these pics is okay with you, Labyrinth. If not, let me know and I'll take them down immediately.

The first is with custom track colors, the second with default track colors. All I did was change a few buttons around like I mentioned and change the meters to a cool blue that I like better. I usually like interlaced meters, but I like them clean with this color.

OK, it looks like this. Notice that when you set a track FX Chain to bypass, the FX button takes on the same colour as the FX in the mixer:

Download this file and copy the .png files into the Easy on the Eyes folder to replace the existing ones:

http://www.cockos.com/~glazfolk/nicholas.zip

The colour matching might not be perfect by the way, feel free to tweak.

Yours are the same colour as the track_fx_dis.png but you forgot to include them!

Thanks heaps

Cheers
Jed

PS this theme is just great

PPS You have some pretty mean plugs in your mastering bus above!!!!
