Where can I get TCP and MCP layout codes for the SWS Auto color/icon/layout?
Are there TCP and MCP layout codes for this theme and if so, how can I find them?

Since I am unaware of what these are or how they're implemented I'll say no.
rather than try to explain them to me, just point me to an example of them being used in a theme.
I'll take a look at it and see if it's something I'd like to do.

Unfortunately, this probably won't happen since I don't like that on the mixer.
I may explore that again in the future, but no guarantees.

It looks like SWS is just looking for the name of the layout.
Is Default 5 the particular theme being referred to in the screenshot?
You may need to manually add the layouts to the SWS Auto color/icon/layout function.
I am unable to look further into it this week, hopefully someone else can give you the steps if you need a guide on how to do it.
You may have better chance for help by posting the question in the SWS thread.

That's correct. You'll have to double-click the appropriate layout cell and type in the wanted layout name exactly as it appears in the Layout menu for the given theme.

Default 5 is what is shown in my screenshot and what I was using up til now.
So, how do I get these for the Solaris theme?
I am a total newbie at this part of Reaper and could use whatever assistance I can get....Please keep it simple!

You'll have to create new rules for each theme/layout you use. So you'll have the same Rule type, Filter, Color and Icon, but theme specific layout names. Only in cases where different themes use exactly the same layout names, those layouts will get selected with the same single rule.

Let me be even more specific......
when the TCP Layout says:
bd --- Small Full Meter
it is the bd --- part of this list that I would like to know what to use....
In the MCP column, on of them says b - Small
It is this b - portion that I'm asking about, because if you look at my screen shot, not all of this part of the entries are the same......
Is there a list of some kind that explains the choices of how and why I would use one of these?
In my screen shot I only put them the way they are by copying something I saw somewhere without actually knowing why......
I hope this is more clear what I am asking about .......

The " bd --" is part of the layout name in the default theme.
The LCS_Solaris theme uses different names for the layouts so they are not interchangeable.
You can see the list of layout names by right clicking on the track's name label.
In the mixer, you can also right click on the section at the bottom the at has the track number to see the layout list.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The TCP list looks like this:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The MCP (mixer) list looks like this:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I have used the menus that you demonstrated above, so I will use those names to create new rules in the SWS.
I sing to pre-recorded music and have LOTS of songs to set up so it will be interesting to see what happens.....

Solaris blue or gray is the DB meter on the track view and mixer showing the same information. The meter on the track view appears to be reporting peak but the meters on mixer not sure what they are reporting.
Thanks

For clarity I will refer to the track view as TCP and the mixer view as MCP
My understanding that the TCP, TCP Master and MCP only show Peak values
The MCP Master shows both Peak and RMS values unless set to show only one or the other.
Right click on the MCP Master meter to see what is currently selected.
In MCP Master the two center meters are the L/R Peak meters
The thin outside meters are the L/R RMS meters.

When a signal is sent from the top to mcp there is a minimum of 2DB drop in signal.
Example:
Sub master on tcp sends 2db signal to mcp
it is now 4db or 5db. Levels in mcp are set to 0db.
I have tried this same configuration on podium and it does not have this same issue. This was done using the same hardware and configuration only changing the date being used.

This doesn't sound a like a theme specific issue.
Check the issue with the default theme and then try posting the issue in the following forum:

I reinstalled fresh copies of the themes in reaper, now it works properly.
Have no idea why reinstalling the themes corrected the issue. As long as it works I'm happy.
Thanks for your responses.

Is this an issue thats known about this theme?
|
no.
This theme is no longer being updated.
Things you can try:
- try loading the theme in a new, clean project.
- try loading the theme in clean portable install.
- Try one of the later versions of this theme:
LCS_Luna
