+ FX: add support for assigning shortcuts to show/insert specific FX
This feature still seems kind of half baked to me. It still doesn't account for cases where you want to use more than one of the same FX on a track or item. I also just don't understand the logic behind having a single shortcut for both show and insert, it really seems like these should be separate actions.

+ FX: support inserting FX chains via shortcut
This isn't working for chains that are saved in a subfolder within the main FX chains directory. I keep all my FX chains in subfolders so they show up in an organized way when I right click the FX button on a track.

I would prefer if the FX windows did not pop up automatically every time I used one of the add FX shortcuts, especially when I have multiple tracks/items selected. Maybe the preference "Auto-open FX windows after quick-add" should also apply to these short-cuts?

I hope that these improvements in splitting behavior will also be applied to other actions that involve splitting media items together with automation items, particularly copying via Ctrl-leftdrag and duplicating "within time selection".

(If these actions can be fixed, it will also make the "Area Select" fans happy.)

Inserting FX into multiple selected tracks can be a nice time saver. As requested in FX Browser: Insert all selected FX into all selected tracks, it would be helpful if any FX could be so inserted, perhaps via the individual FX's right-click menu.

Good idea.

Is there not a normal Mac .dmg or am I missing something?

Or is ICC the only option now?

I'm so used to the Mac version being the very last one for easy access

Accidentally downloaded the .exe version instead at first.

Got it now, thanks.

I'll have to go back and see what the differences are again between ICC and non ICC.

LOL, now my render speed goes from full speed down to about 80x from 110x.

I put all plugins offline instead of just in bypass and that seems to create a steady render speed.

It must be an item FX that isn't going fully offline and relieving the CPU correctly during rendering.

I've noticed your many posts about render speed, but there haven't been any changes I'm aware of that could affect render speed, in any of the last dozen or so builds.

Thanks. I'll try to narrow it down to a single plugin. For example, I notice with UAD UA versions, even when I bypass a UAD plugin it still taxes the UAD card, or if an item isn't playing or rendering, the AU version still taxes the UAD card.

If I use the VST version, the UAD card is only taxed when that item is playing or rendering. If I am playing silence at the end of my session, no UAD is taxed.

AU and VST behave different with UAD I guess.

It could be something similar where even though I have bypass the item FX in REAPER, it still influences render speed as opposed to taking the FX fully offline.

rendering time is a time to stand up and stretch or put the kettle on, chill.

I jest.. 80x is pretty swift anyway, those of us with only as many cores as limbs have to wait far longer!

I understand that 80x is still really fast. I'm mostly concerned about what caused the change.

A plugin update? A REAPER update, or a plugin reaction to a REAPER update.

I'll keep digging.

For about 2 years now I've always had a consistent render speed from start to finish and now it is different.

I can't delete FX shortcuts in Action window (the Delete button is disabled), Is this by design?
