I notice per-chain PDC mode is not in this one. Should we expect it to return soon?

"* Includes branch: LV2"
Is this generalized LV2 support?!
I know some work had gone into writing a parser for Turtle RDF triples which LV2 uses earlier in the month, is this that materializing 👀

Haha, no schwa is the fastest, I saw the ReaSurround post he made. Read it, like "Dev build... Wait, there hasn't been a dev build in.... OH! THIS IS MY MOMENT!

Holy shit, it is!!
For anyone curious to try it that isn't on Linux with a good selection of native LV2 plugins, DISTRHO has a few free multiplatform ones you can install:

THANKS a million for the reasurround stuff!
I've been primarily in 7.1.4 and ambisonic now for my own music so look forward to testing it.
See image for proof lol. https://drive.google.com/file/d/10Ig...ew?usp=sharing
I've got a limited time this weekend to but will do more asap!

I wondered if this also helps with the play cursor as I find that if any automation is showing on the arrange page then the playback cursor gets stuck a lot but doesn't when it's hidden.
Not sure if that's just me though and I guess you mean audio performance and not graphical

Very happy to see LV2 support, thanks!
(Not that I'd have/want to use lots of LV2 plugins at this point but it's good to see Reaper supporting an open/non-proprietary plugin standard. I hope more plugin devs will follow.)

glBars from here LV2 version only comes up with host GUI for me, VST version works fine: screenshot
The other LV2 (non OpenGL, edit: assumingly) plugins there work fine (GUI wise) for me too.
Win 8.1
edit2:
In the screen shot can also be seen a slight (nitpicky) inconsistency in the plugin windows title bar:
For VST it's Name (Vendor) (outputs), for LV2 it's Name (Outputs) (Vendor)

Hey - I just installed this version and it would not acknowledge the Universal Audio Thunderbolt driver at all. Rolled back to 6.21 public release and it sees it without any fuss.

I installed the Calf plugins using Synaptic, and while REAPER sees 52 new LV2 plugins, every one of them seems to vaporize REAPER instantly. Maybe a GTK thing?
The DISTRHO collection installed through Synaptic seem to work fine.

Ah that plug-in requires this extension:
https://lv2plug.in/doc/html/group__d..._Data__Feature
i'll look at adding support for it...
(you can click the rescan button in the LV2 prefs to see what plugins failed and the reason for their failure, btw).

I tried the latest Calf Git, built myself on Manjaro (latest 20.2.1) and I had the same experience.
I also noticed Surge LV2 (which was already installed from the Manjaro repo when I added the VST3 version) only shows up with 2 outputs, whereas the VST3 version has 6 outputs.

I don't know if that is a bug with the plug or something in REAPER.

Thanks for lv2 support. Seems to have a bug with gtk tools, gxplugins crashes reaper. Many x42 plugins (meters) seems to works as expected.

I do wonder if the Harrison lv2 plugins work with this.
Time to give the new ReaSurround a try. Exciting.

The XT plugins seem to process audio, but the GUI doesn't update, you have to close and reopen the GUI to see changes. The deesser and tom gate are really very good.

I wonder, if time-travel is also already implemented but I missed it in the dev-changelogs

The Drum Character plugin interests me. If I know it'll work in Reaper I'll probably get it. I'll watch for your feedback about LV2 compatibility with the XT plugins.

I installed guitarix via my package-manager. Loading any gx plugin i get a hard crash. This is the terminal output:
$ reaper
lv2: /usr/lib/lv2/gx_studiopre.lv2/ -- http://guitarix.sourceforge.net/plug...studiopre#gui: unsupported feature 'http://lv2plug.in/ns/extensions/ui#makeResident'

Thanks devs for all your work

media explorer
Maybe I've missed the option but if I import something that was at say "0.5" rate in media explorer. It will come into the arrange at "0.5" but with the pitch preserved (so a time stretch rather than a rate change.
Is that a bug or is there a way to change that? Thanks.

The behavior should follow whatever the media explorer option for preserving pitch when changing rate -- right-click the rate or pitch knob in the media explorer to change this.

Just tried ticking that preserve pitch on or off when inserting media and it's doing some odd things for sure.
Firstly, if I only change pitch and drag it in. I can see the pitch is down 5 for both of them and the tick box in media properties for preserve is unticked but obviously doesn't do anything here as we are change pitch and not rate.
If I then only change rate and leave pitch at zero and drag in one with preserve on and one with it off. They both come in the same with the preserve pitch in properties ticked for both.
I think it only works when changing pitch at the moment and not rate?
Also, I'm not doing tempo matching either so not sure if that's it.
Expected result was for the 0.5 rate audio to come into the arrange at double the length/half the pitch (samplerate change etc).
