Default Reaper 5.201 Buggy and slow

When i run Reaper 5.201 on my iMac , i keep seeing the sample rate at the top of the screen change back and forth between 44.1 and 48K, if i try to select an option i get the wonderful spinning mac ball, and if i try to import an mp3, it takes forever to build the peak waveform file.

I'm running an i7 Retina 5K iMac , OS X 10.10.5, 16Gb Ram, AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4096MB

All previous versions of Reaper ran perfectly with no problems.

Any ideas??

What audio device are you using? Are you using separate input and output devices? Can you give us a screenshot of preferencws/Audio Device?

Default Buggy and slow sorted

After trying a few things , decided to uninstall Reaper, run CCleaner , reboot and re install Repear 5.201 and so far everything is working OK, i think just running the standard install and just selecting the Replace option , does not clear everything.

All is good with the world of Reaper so far, thank you for prompt rely.
