Default JS: Audio Statistic broken?

Ok, the title is purely for clickbait, but I've noticed that the Peak information inside the plugin doesn't match the peaks in the track actual meter. Is it normal?

how much of a discrepancy are you getting ?

Reaper's track meters seem to have some type of rounding of the values going on.
the JS Audio Statistics peak value is more accurate. (more decimal places / precision)
it does not round like the track meters, it truncates, which is just "throwing away" the rest of the digits.
