Import midi tracks from Jammer Pro6? Is this too much to ask?
I am about at my wit's end trying to do this, I've been trying to figure this out for weeks. I've gone through Google searches, Youtube tutorials, etc. In Media Explorer I just don't see the files, I've tried renaming them but it doesn't seem to help. All I want to do is create a midi arrangement in Jammer, import it into Reaper, delete tracks as I create my own audio tracks. That's it. Is this not possible without going to university? I used to do this on an old version of Cakewalk Sonar4 but my PC died, now I've replaced it with a dedicated machine with 2 HD's, but I'm ready to pull my hair out.

well then you'd better get a cheap toupe... hahaha no, no... just kidding
so I assume you have saved a midi file out of Jammer?
let's say it's called mybigmidi.mid ok?
open reaper and drag and drop that midi file onto the empty space of the arrange window and see what happens.

When you say drag and drop, do you mean copy/paste? I've tried that. Can you explain a little further, I guess I'm rather dense.

Tried to drag and drop and got the Reaper error message: Could not import 1 of 1 items.

I have a hunch I'm not saving the Jammer file properly. Reaper is probably doing it's job OK. Still frustrating.

I don't know if this is still an issue or not... but sometimes Windows security prevents drag and drop from working properly and Reaper throws that error you mention.
Shut down Reaper... then just for fun, right-click the Reaper icon and choose "Run As Administrator"... when Reaper opens, try to import your MIDI file(s) again.

OK, I downloaded a midi file from the net, just a Nora Jones tune. Watched a video about playing midi files in Reaper to get instruments to sound, now I realize this is going to be way too complicated for me. It's freakin' crazy.

no wait plz... it is NOT so hard
first we need to know and hopefully see what the file actually is that you are getting out of Jammer... [I used to have Jammer years ago but do not at this time]
So... first tell us exactly the file name that you are saving as midi out of Jammer.
Then see if you can attach it to your next post.
see in browser just below this window for "Manage Attachments"
If it won't accept a .mid file, then first zip it and then see if it can attach to your post... that way I can test it here and see what it needs.

Thanks Hopi, I'm going through tutorials to see if I missed something. I'll be back.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm looking into getting the new version of Jammer (called Bandora) and was wondering if this would work the same way? https://bandora.com/en/
