I have a folder of midi files composed by my friend that are 20 years old. Sometimes, I'll take one, do some editing in finale, mostly articulation, then mix it in reaper. Here's one

Nice compostion, instruments sound good generally, but there are a few odd glitches here and there, like some distortion on the flute which is not so good. I don't mind distorted flute, I just don't think you're doing it right, there are some quite unpleasant whistling overblown sounds.

Really like the fills there on the bass, and the slides.

Hi Hamish, thanks for your comment. I used gpo4 sample library, and the flute I liked the most was the "flutter flute", and this is the first time I've used it. It was a 2 afternoon refresher drill for me.
