Default Ableton Live User - standard "techno" music?

Hi, Ableton Live user, live act/DJ here.

Looking to jam around 115-125 BPM.

Pretty standard house/techno/acapella stuff for now, I figure I'll nail down the basics of using the software and playing with other DJs before going into wild improv or a glitchfest.

Respond here, or email my forum handle at gmail dot com if interested...

Cool, I'm a Live user + synth guy. General techno / glitch fest all sounds great. I've got my own server. Hit my up at my forum nick on that gmail thingy.

hey - I'm definately into the "ableton" ilk, although I use radiaL.

i think ableton sort of identifies a framework for live performance that supports experimental styles and free improvisation.

love it love it love it.

hope to run into you's at some point.

count me in...

I'm been using live for some drum-machine stuff in ReaNinjam. Being limited to existing audio loops and midi is kind of a drag. I should try rearouting it in as a master sometime..

I encourage you to try sitting in on any old ninjam and seeing what you can come up with. To me, the whole appeal of ninjam is being able to bend and blend genres. Sitting in with people that all play the same style is like preaching to the choir.. and if you don't think they appreciate your input, you can always untick the transmit box. I, for one, appreciate anything that's on time and not dominating the mix.

I use Ableton by 2 years and i make electronic music with it, italo-dance and trance music are my favourite.
I play sampling, vocoding and synth in live with Ableton without problems.
When somebody wants to begin a jam, leave a message here or let's talk about it with msn, yahoo, icq, skype or something else.

I also make electronic music with ableton, mostly trance.
i find it to be a very comfortable software to work with, but doesn't always give me everything i need.
i have to use real hardware synthesizers from time to time to get exactly the sound i want.
