Zooming issues!

I am having some serious zooming issues.

1). When I zoom in, no matter where my mouse cursor is, the zoom selection is the END of the project ie. The blank empty bars at the end of the project!

2). I am trying to assign the mouse wheel to zoom in and out like in this video https://www.reaper.fm/videos.php#rlF3oY0lEC4

Unfortunately, when I assign it in Actions it zooms IN when I move the mouse wheel up AND down!! Ie. it should be zooming OUT for UP and Zooming IN for down.

I have attached my mouse preferences as screenshots.

What action did you assign on mousewheel?

I assigned a mouse wheel scroll up - I just clicked 'Add' below Shortcuts for selected action and then held command and moved the mouse wheel down.

Is there another way of doing it?

-If I assign a midi CC to it it does the same thing - keeps scrolling in the same direction no matter which direction I move the fader.

You can assign only ONE action for the whole wheel. You need "View: Zoom horizontally reversed (MIDI CC relative/mousewheel)".

Thank you! That fixed the zooming with the mouse wheel but it is still zooming in to the end of project? What could that be?

It would be better, if you make a gif showing your issue.
I recommend using http://cockos.com/licecap/ for this purpose.
