Default ReWire movie

Hi all,

I have added a new Flash tutorial movie to

http://www.documentwrite.com/tutorials.html

This one - Launching Reason in REAPER using ReWire - demonstrates how to start a ReWire session in REAPER using Reason.

Cheers,

Malcolm.

Excellent presentation. This will be very helpful to new ReWire users.

When selecting Rewire from the fx chain I only see Reaper in the list to rewire to......how do I get my other apps to show up in this list.....never used rewire before, but I'd like to see what it's all about..

Apps will only show up in that list if they support ReWire themselves. Do the other apps you have support ReWire?

Thanks malcolm, yes Tracktion has rewire, although in the past, after having a messy crash or two in tracktion due to an unwelcome plugin, I've had a dialogue saying 'Rewire failure' I don't know if it means just for that session, or if the rewire thingy is toasted altogether.

Hard to say, but it should show up in the list if it's working. You could download the demo of Reason or FL Studio if you want to see what ReWire can do.

Cheers,

Malcolm.

I can open Tracktion and rewire Reaper to Tracktion, but not visa versa.

From the Tracktion website:

"Tracktion acts as a master (or "mixer") application to which other ReWire..."

It seems Tracktion is host only, while Reaper can be either host or slave.
