Default darshonaut music thread

I recorded a quick electronic jam session this morning and mixed it with Reaper.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YA0aJ-uDQuw

The Arturia Keystep is sequencing the Theis Modular via CV/Gate, the Behringer DeepMind 12 is played live.
I used 4 stomp boxes on the Theis Modular: Ammoon Chorus, BOSS DD-7, Palmer Analog Delay and Joyo JF-33 Analog Delay.

Audio recorded to a Zoom R16 and mixed in Reaper 5 on PC, using various mixing effect plugins. (Compressor, EQ, Reverb, Stereowidener and Tape Emulation)

Video recorded with a Lumia 625 and a Lumia 640XL.
Video rendered with Vegas Movie Studio 14.

It's rather relaxing. Nice way to spend saturday morning.

I'm pretty shocked by the existence of a legit analog synth by Behringer. Thought they were all mixers and guitar pedal knockoffs. Looks kinda Juno-ish with all those sliders.

Yes that was a nice morning

I was shocked that the DeepMind 12 actually sounds good after I bought it

If you're interested, I made a clip with some sounds of the DM12 without any internal or external effects, just the pure synthesis engine :

I like the x0xb0x adorned monitor.

Yeah, sounds like a perfectly formed analog synth. And there's also a cheaper 6 voice version. I imagine it's like kicking a beehive in synth circles.

Default Keystep/Reaper

Hi there,
I'm a noob. I wonder if anyone in this thread could help me with something please?
I just bought the Arturia keystep. Am having lots of fun playing my Axoloti core, using the sequencer in KS!
I have worked out how to configure my midi prefs in Reaper so that the keystep is recognised and is my midi controller. And I can load up a VST synth and the sequencer in the KS triggers the virtual instrument.
However, what I want to do, is to somehow integrate the clocks. Is this even possible? I want to be able to create a sequence in the Keystep, but then for that sequence to somehow lock in to midi in Reaper, almost like Reaper being a slave to the KS. Does that make sense?
If that isn't possible, then it would appear that there's not the level of integration I was hoping for...
As I said, I'm very new to all this, so please be kind in your replies. And feel free to spell things out in words of one syllable
Cheers!

Default Dusk to Dawn - Transition [Synh-Pop / Darkwave] Album

The Dusk to Dawn album 'transition' has now been released on Echozone.

This is basically my school-band, the three of us are still making music 26 years later.

It's Synth-Pop and darkwave influenced by the 90's and modern times.

You can get the album on Bandcamp : https://echozone.bandcamp.com/album/transition

it's also available on Amazon and iTunes.

thank you.

that is my little Ammoon AM-228 Mixer : https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B071WBR8RX

I am using a very small setup nowadays, the mixer is enough for my needs. It can run on batteries, which is great.
