Just keep adding money AND THEY WILL MAKE BIGGER....
Its probably aimed more at eccentric billionaires and uber tech entrepreneurs than us normal folks.
190x1080 23" x2 and one 1980,1200 24" is my limit right now... All three are IPS panels and altogether cost me under £300.
But I would like something bigger and fancier, especially on my Mac Mini...

I envy you having three nice screens. Compared to my single 13" laptop screen. Something to look forward to.

Ha Ha! NOW its obvious why you are drooling over that mega screen!
I had visions of you already owning a 32" hi def one.
Well if I ever win the lottery you can have all three of mine.
A thought: when I was on a laptop only I used to hook it up to my tv to get the Big Picture, pending scraping up the cash for my first setup- a pair of 19" screens.
All it cost me at the time was a cable between the lappy and the telly.

I'm probably a bit eccentric, but well sort of billionaire status, so far.
Have posted this before, but comparing (2) Win10 Pro PC Desktop DAW systems driving DUAL 24" 1920 x 1200 monitors, along with 3rd system driving 55" 3840 x 2160 large screen, I would always opt for separate screens. DAW systems typically have a large amount of detailed screen content and no matter how large; one screen is waaay crowded.
Each User and his/her apps are unique, but keep this in mind as you move forward.
Enjoy!

I run a 13.3" screen on my laptop in full 1080P and love it for when I'm on the go. The resolution and physical size give me the best of both worlds. However, when I get home, the HDMI cable goes in and Reaper runs happily on my 21" monitor.
I am currently kicking around the idea of an ultrawidescreen monitor, but am not sure if I would prefer that to two 1080P monitors so I can have my controls on one screen and arrange view on the other.
But then again, I have created screensets to allow me to work quite comfortably on that 13.3" screen without issue, so perhaps the singel widescreen would suit me better.
thinking out loud...

Hi Guys,
I'm giving a lot of consideration to all your comments. I think Sostenuto's comment about
using multiple monitors makes sense. Ivansc also had a choice of one super-screen or multiple
smaller ones and chose multi.
I suppose one benefit of multi is that you might want to run two or more entirely different programs
apart from Reaper. That would enable better focus on the separate topics.
Thanks for all your comments.

Well, big screens are nice. But if you're into video editing or photography, "sRGB over 99%" is basically saying "99% of really mediocre color rendition." At that price, I'd want to have Adobe RGB, not sRGB. Adobe RGB can display a much wider gamut of colors. But if you're strictly doing DAW work, sRGB is OK.
And yes I know sRGB is the same as Digital Cinema, but to produce predictable results in Digital Cinema, you need to see a little wider than that in production, the same as you need really good speakers to mix audio without nasty surprises.

Thanks Bill_T.
Well THAT'S opened up another can of worms. I read up on the sRGB /aRGB debate after reading your entry. I gather that sRGB is for designing for screen display, such as web, tablet and phone. Whereas Adobe RGB is for print, but for some reason, some print shops stick to sRGB and get cranky if they have to flip their monitors back and forth for different customer settings.
You are probably right, but I'm wondering if it just boils down to a personal choice. Because in the end someone is still going to say, sorry buddy, you made the wrong choice. If I'm not a pro photographer, it probably doesn't matter what monitor I buy as long as it has good viewing angle and resolution above 4k.
