I'm experiencing quite some freezes and crashes:

You should probably upload the crash dump file somewhere and post a link to it. Not sure about Win8 but on my Win7 system they are saved to,...

Looks like a couple plugins might be the cause? from VS 2015 native debug thingy,..

I took a peek at two of the dumps, what's odd is the crashes don't appear to be even remotely related via cursory glance. Plugins are involved in all though.

Yes, I believe at least 1 of them is connected with a Kontakt5 Kirk Hunter instrument.

You could see if it repro's without it, it was just odd that kontakt was directly involved in one of the dumps. Actually, it may be involved in all of them since some of the dumps don't have all the information (because I don't have source code for these VSTs) due to missing symbols which can jumble things up a bit; and I just can't see it. However, one is crashing in DirectX and the other isn't making me think they are unrelated.
