how come no one hangs out in the irc channel? #ninjam irc.cockos.com

could be an easy and fun way to discuss ideas for jamming. hooking up by similar interests (adverting for metal players on 2049), or even just talking about life/music/and the like.

show your support for the community! #ninjam

well, i am by NO means an irc expert.

you'll have to d/l an IRC client (mIRC is the standard pretty much) and then connect to irc.cockos.com, then join the channel. if i remember correctly there's a help tutorial at the mIRC site.

So what's a good time to catch people in the irc channel?

Default You're not getting the point :)

The point is to connect and idle and check once in a while to see what's going on
Sometimes you can get "real time" interaction...while other times....tumble weed, but again, the point is to be there during both conditions

I merely ask because I am only able to "be there" at odd hours. I spent some time there "idling" with 3 others in the channel and could not get anyone to say anything for 45 mins before I decided to leave. I am not a person who uses IRC very much and seem not to have the right idea of what its all about. I am sorry if I did not see the point before it was explained to me.
