Default Insert FX: Shortcut

Hi, these pres added the great Insert FX Shortcut feature.

The current behaviour is: You hit the shortcut, and the plugin gets added but not opened.

Is there a way to have the plugin open when you hit the shortcut?

# FX: when inserting via shortcut, respect preference to auto-open after quick-add

in other words, check your prefs

In more detail:

- Open Reaper Preferences, section "Plugin-ins".
- check the option "auto open FX Windows after quick-add"

Warm Regards.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature request but since I started using the native REAPER option to load FX chain presets with a key command, the last plugin in the FX chain is always focused when the chain is loaded.

When I was using the similar SWS option, it always knew which plugin GUI was focused when I saved the FX chain, so that when the FX chain was loaded, that same GUI was focused.

For example, I have a common FX chain I always load but I want the 3rd FX GUI to be shown when I load it.

Is this possible to tweak in an update?

Maybe it's just something with the particular FX in my saved chain causing this behavior?

That does seem to be how it works here as well. Looking at the fxchain files there doesn't seem to be anything to indicate its saving the index of which plugin in the chain had focus when the chain is saved so that it could know which plugin to focus on when loaded, so would seem your post is a feature request, and ya that would be a useful feature.

Thanks for confirming. I recently started using a few new plugins so I wasn't sure if they were unintentionally stealing focus.

Maybe I'll convert this into a feature request.

What's great about the SWS equivalent of this new feature is that the SWS version does seem to store the preferred GUI when you save a plugin chain so that when you load it, you get your preferred plugin GUI displayed right away.
