Default Echo Audiofire12 Windows 10

I have two echo audiofire12s sending outputs to an Alesis Studio 32 mixer. I am sending the group inputs in through the audiofires.

I picked up the two audiofires and a firewire pcie card off of amazon after I read about people successfully using them under windows 10.

I am using 24bit at 48000hz and 256 buffer. They do function but after a period of time when I am in reaper the audio gets poppy and staticky. It doesn't matter how many channels are in use or if there are plugins on them. If I go to Options/Preferences it clear it out and things are clean again.

It is not a buffer issue changing them has no effect. I also used Latencymon while the issue was happening and everything was int he green.

I did a fresh reformat reinstall just to give that a try but no luck.

If anyone has an idea of what this could be or what I could try I would appreciate it? I wonder if it could but the 19 dollar firewire card.

Thanks

Kevin

I imagine it's the firewire card. I think you may want to make sure it has the Texas instruments chip. Good luck!
