Simply update via Reapack.

It's working here. Thanks.

Sorry if I'm just missing it, but can someone tell me the best/quickest way to get my colors set on SWS over to this script? I want to take the colors I already have, but make gradients based on them.

Thanks!

I've just installed this and I must say, OLSHALOM, I LOVE your work! I've added a dedicated button to my toolbar for this and will use it frequently.
Thank you for creating this.

Will be the background color change to match to theme color?

Colour Swatch & Rodilab color palette can do it (Change to Track color mode by clicking on TCP), but I don't know if it's too hard to implement it.

The script doesn't work with empty items:
...ts\Olshalom_Reascripts\Coloring\Chroma_Coloring Tool.lua:820: bad argument #1 to 'SetMediaItemTakeInfo_Value' (MediaItem_Take expected)

And It doesn't properly work with takes, in a standard comp system.
Hello, thanks for this wonderful script. I seem to have the same behavior. I have the latest Chroma and latest ReaImGUI. Any ideas?

Code:
...ts/Olshalom_Reascripts/Coloring/Chroma_Coloring Tool.lua:1109: bad argument #1 to 'GetMediaItemTakeInfo_Value' (MediaItem_Take expected)

Hello, you're welcome. Great that chroma is in use.

The message you quote is old and multiple takes and empty items coloring was implemented after that post.

Can't reproduce the issue.
Simple fix would be to check if "take" is valid.

Could you provide more detailed info or a screen cap?
Are you using chroma in shiny colors mode along a theme which provide it?

Sorry, I didn’t see the first reply. Glad you could reproduce it.

Thanks for looking into it.

Is there a way to have the script keep running even if the window is closed?

In shinny color mode, when I close the chroma window and move an item to a track that has a different color, the item doesn't change color, however, if the chroma window is open the item does change color.
It'd be pretty useful to have this behaviour even when the window is closed.

Chroma 0.8.4 is up and fixes the issue.

As it is it seems like the midi notes in the editor have the same color as the light item background intead of the darker midi notes shown on the items in arrange view.

What I just found out:

If I have a MediaItem with multiple takes and open these different takes in MidiEditor, the color of the midi notes is changing to the take color, when Media Item is selected for color in MidiEditor:

Otherwise Item color is used for the midi notes, which let them appear in the light background color like in your example.

Thanks, setting the midi color to track did the trick!

Thank you!
It's a theme I was working on.
While theming is fun, it's rather unlikely that I will take up work on it again or make it public.

CHROMA itself needs all the available attention.

Hmm..., will leave it in as experimental for the next release.

Looks like CHROMA's theme is a big feature branch for itself.

Happy coloring

Did you synchronize via Reapack?

If so, it looks like you need to restart REAPER to make the latest ReaImGui working?

If not, please try update to the latest ReaImGui Version.
Edit: Ahh, you meant you already did?

Obviously nothing I did worked. As always, I saved the situation by copy/paste everything from my old backup folder 😀 However, I think I'd better not update chroma for a long time. It's very good as it is.

Backup is indeed a good idea.

It bothers me that I don't know how I can help you.

Just in case, if what is seen in the screen cap below is what you see too,
without right click and choose a install, re-install or uninstall type nothing will happen:
