Korg ER-1 not sending midi

Hi everyone

I am hoping someone out there in Reaper land has a Korg ER-1.

The issue is I can't seem to get reaper to see my er1. When I tiddle a knob there is no midi response. The er1 does play back programmed beats and does sync to clock with patterns, but it won't send or recieve knob (sysex) info.

My set up is the midi out of my focusrite saffepro to the korg er1 midi in (channel 10), then midi thru to my jp-8000 midi in (channels 1-3) and then midi out back into the saffire.

someone have any ideas?

I googled for a while with no luck.

Without some more details it's a bit difficult to help.

-- what does your Preferences > Audio > MIDI Devices show?
-- are the MIDI devices enabled for Input, or Control, or both?
-- does your setup work in any other host that you may have?

well firstly I took my er1 to a friend's house, there are three people there all with their own albeton live setup, none of them could even get the er1 to work as a sound module :/

In reaper I can make it work as a sound moudule, I can also make it play patterns in sync, but I can't make program changes or send and recieve messages to the knobs (sysex).

I read your threads, thankyou, but I had all that covered.

I should also mention, that I have a JP-8000 in the same midi chain and the JP does send and recieve sysex, so I don't think its my midi preferences.

I have been trying other software like Midiquest... now midi quest did read the JP but not the ER1. Also midiquest doesn't seem to open in reaper, I get a blank screen.

I seriously don't know what to do now, I like the look of the motu librian software Unisyn but it seems thet haven't released a windows version for a long time

I have an ER-1 as well, and maybe something you did could help me :|
