Default Open Reaper Wthout an Audio Output Selected?

Hello,

I've been having trouble connecting my Apollo Twin (TB) to my PC and in the mean time, I've been using my PC case's headphone output as my audio device for Reaper.

I noticed that my Apollo came up on my Reaper audio output settings. I selected it, Reaper froze, and then force-quit. Now every time I try and re-open Reaper, it force-quits while "Initializing Main Window".

Is there a way to open Reaper in a sort of, "Safe mode"? As in, without an audio device selected?

Thank you.

Beside renaming the reaper.ini or moving the file to a different location outside of the Reaper resource folder (so it gets newly generated and you still have the old .ini file as backup, as well), you can also try this:

EDIT:

On Windows, you might also try using the show audio configuration on startup shortcut in the Windows Startmenu:

This worked beautifully, thank you for this and thanks for replying to the other post I made! (Couldn't figure out how to delete the post once I found the "Bug Reports" forum)

If I remember correctly you cannot delete threads yourself. But you can edit the thread title and post content of the first post to something else like ('delete please - double post'), etc.
