Default how to enable loop region points only in the timeline ?

I remember there had a big discussion about this some time ago, but i can't find it anymore.

I always try to resize clips (which also fit to the loop region), and instead of resizing clips by dragging its edge, i often drag the loop end point and move it.

It soud like nothing, but it is quite annoying, as it make me click a lot more than what i should (first : moving loop region end point, then resizing clip, then bringing back loop region point at tis original place).

Is there any workaround for this (a shortcut, a key combination, etc) ? Has it been solved since i last checked ?
thanks !

it's still a little messy.

Best thing currently is to lock the loop selection.

There have been a few FR's along these lines. like being able to drag he loop in the time bar even when the loop is locked (so it's locked only in the arrange area) Also I have requested sepereating the locking function, so that with a key command we could lock just the loop selection. These two seem totally unrelated, but they both come from a similar want as what you are asking about here.

ok, thank you Dandruff for the link.
By reading it quickly, i see there is still no really workaround, right.

... and yes, i second what i have read there : "it happens to me all the time [...]it is an irritation"

... and i like the AMberience suggestion :
