Beatwing theme - released v 1.1
v2.4: https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/1436/Beatwing%20v2.4.zip
Have fun!
spinlud
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi guys, i didn't sleep too much in the last month, working every night on a new 'Bitwigish' style theme that i will share with you in the stash.
It was a real pita for me to learn walter and graphic editing and many times i thought to give up, but i carried on and now i almost finished basic track panel, mixer panel and transport. There are still many things to do and some layouts to add, so pls be patient and give some support here, i ll do the fastest i can.
Here some screenshots of the current state:
Arrangement 1
Arrangement 2
Arrangement 3
Mixer 1
Mixer 2
Mixer 3
When i have some other updates i will post them here. CheersszZzzzZ zZzZz

it looks nice
perhaps the bitwig knob looks a bit less smother or rounder
how do you make the arranger view look like that by the way?
i cant see the lines that mark the beats when zooming so far...
i tried to find the option but i think i am missing it...

Very nice. I like the Bitwig color scheme, reminds me of photoshop cs6. Definitely looking forward to it.

Looks good, I like the Bitwig color scheme. I don't care for the font, though.

Err, i totally forgot to think about dual pan or stereo pan, since usually i don't use it. This makes me to change the mixer panel and loose the knob...but maybe now it is more clean.

I change that to the ubuntu one. Let me know if it is ok.
Here 2 images of the new mixer panel and track panel with the dual pan and stereo pan mode on some tracks.
Question: someone knows if is it possible to change the position of the buttons in the toolbar?

You can do that if you add seperators at the start of the toolbar, I'm pretty sure (in the "customize menus/toolbars" window, right-click on the button list and select "add seperator"). You can't really adjust the y position though, except by enlarging the whole toolbar.

Added envelope tracks, separators, instrument/hybrid/send layouts, no db scale layouts.

Many things missing, but i will release the version 1.0 now if you want to try it and give updates in next weeks.
v.1.1 here:

Very nice theme. Anyway you might be able to do an update so us laptop users can shrink the MCP, and maybe a side bar for the sends returns, that way we can see both the TCP and the MPC in one viewing. Just like the default, Jannes and Cincni's. Right now MPC takes up my whole entire screen and I don't like switching back and forth between both. My laptop is your basic 15" All in all really great theme!!!

@spinlud
Very nice and clean theme. Thanks for sharing :-)
By the way, have a question, when I look at your second screenshot, how do you do to SHOW the Track Inspector on the left side like you did in the 2nd screenshot http://postimg.org/image/9wf0rp8ih/
Is it a script? I'd like to be able to do this and make it a default way setup, to be able to access the track inspector without always to reach the mixer.
Thanks again

Hi, what you are seeing is the mixer window docked in the left side of the screen, and sized that it takes the exact width of a track in a mixer (you must also make the master track not visible in the mixer -> right click in mixer -> master track -> untick show in mixer).
To place the mixer on the left:
1)right click on mixer --> dock mixer in docker
2) open docker window and drag and drop the mixer tab to the left edge of the screen (a blue rectangle should appear)
3)resize the docked mixer so it takes the width of one track

Hi Spinlud and thank you so much for this amazing theme!!! It's one of the best Reaper themes for me right now, the only thing i don't really like is the dark color in the arrangement area ... What about to use the same colors of the original Bitwig theme in the arrangement area, that would be awesome!

Here you go!
https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/1403/Be...1.1_bright.zip
ps: many things in Reaper work better with dark themes imho, like items color, track colors and grid lines...that's why i have chosen a darker one then bitwig. But i like also bright themes

Was wondering, would you be able to replicate the Item (audio or Midi) Form of Btiwig as shown in this screenshot for your theme? Would love to have an alternate version like that if possible of course :-)
Thanks for this beautiful theme

I did my best, but there are things that can't be done properly and one of these is to tell reaper to not color a part of an image that is not a rectangle.
I end up with this:
https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/1407/Beatwing%20v1.2.zip
I've uploaded it in a new slot of the stash because i am not sure that people will like this new item, so give me some feedbacks if you prefer the new one or the old one...thanks for the support!

Working on small screen layout for laptop users...2 things:
1) if you stretch too much weird things are going to happens, because of pink/yellow lines. I can't avoid that sry, you must find the right size that works for you
2) On the master track i would like to move away the readouts for peak/rms level, because there is no space to read them...but i don't know how. If someone know this pls tell me \\_^
