[5.965] Unable to change visibility in Track List (MIDI editor)

I am unable to change visibility of items in Track List (in the MIDI editor). All eye and lock icons in the track list are grayed out and clicking them does nothing.

This worked as expected in v5.80.

This issue happens only for new projects. If I open an existing project that was created with an older version, it works properly.

To reproduce:
- create new project
- add multiple tracks
- add multiple MIDI items
- double click on MIDI item to open MIDI editor
- try to change visibility of MIDI items in the Track List

It seem that the Playtime plugin is causing this.

Somehow, I managed to restore the proper behavior of the MIDI editor, but after I tried the Playtime plugin again, the issue came back. It seems that while using Playtime some configuration is changed.

Does anyone know could I fix this without resetting Reaper's configuration completely?

I got a solution in the Playtime thread. It doesn't work when a 'Piano Roll Timebase' (view menu) is set to 'source beats'. Changing 'Piano Roll Timebase' to any other option fixes this issue.


As this seems to be an intended behavior when editor is in 'source beats' mode, it would be really helpful if a tooltip message would explain why it is not possible to change visibility, when hovering over the eye or lock icons.
