Adding images

So I have a video playing while music is playing but i would like to add a image. So can i add images and have them show up in between the video?

First, understand video priority. See 20.3 of the REAPER User Guide. By default, the "lowest" video track is the one that is displayed and rendered. You can change this to show the "highest" track.

So assuming the default setup, put your video on track 1. Then add track 2 and put your JPG or PNG on that track. You can drag the edges of your image to display for the length of time you need.

Open the video window (Ctrl-Shift-V) and play through your clips. You should see the image replace the video for the duration you set.

Thank you Fran. Actually if i use a jpg it doesn't seem to show up. So I changed it to a png file and it works
