HELP!?! (Or, WHAT DID I DO WRONG?) v5.60 update...
Went to open a project that I had open last night.
Got the notice of a new update available.
Downloaded that sucker IMMEDIATELY.
Installed.
Tried to open the project.
Project Load Warning
The following effects were in the project file and are not available. REAPER will keep their configurations, but...
And then the list of missing FX.
Everything listed is a 3rd party (x86) effect.
1) Have I lost or ruined my project?
2) If I click OK and close REAPER, is the project safe?
3) What did I do wrong???
Help me Mr. (Mrs., Miss, Mizz, etc.) Wizard...

Maybe you installed 64 bit Reaper when your installed plugins are 32 bit? (Or vice versa.) You didn't check in the Reaper installer to install the bit bridging feature?

I've had the same problems before, maybe 3-4 times. And it happens randomly, not when installing a new version. I just restart Reaper and everything is good, hopefully it will work for you too.

Thanks to all that have responded.
After a few restarts of REAPER, the results are the same. I guess this is the nudge I needed to bring my \Plugins directory into some type of order and sanity. Let the weeding begin...
-----
WAIT A MINUTE ... A reboot of the PC has fixed it.
(Yes, I forgot the Golden Rule of PC/App repair.)
Hooray for Windows!!!! NOT.
-----
Anyway, If anyone has a directory structure for the plugins/FX that brings some organization to them, I'd appreciate the share.
If there's a resource that lays out a best practice, please point me to it.
Thanks again.

Failure is not an option, it's included for free with every product from Microsoft.
