Selected track more intense color
Hello,
Does anybody knows if it is possible to have the selected track more highlighted that it is by default?
I'm really having trouble locating them

Yes it is, its a theme thing, which theme are you using? It might be an easy edit...

I’m using the default one and I would like to stay with this one as it is the only one I actually like. Is it possible?

Try using the Tweaker, which is in the Actions list (in the Actions menu search for "tweak" and find the "theme tweak/configuration window". Use the menu editor to add it to a menu for easy access.
You can try various track color and brightness changes. Some themes override the theme tweaker, which is good to know before trying to tweak one of those : ) but the default is tweakable within this simple window's options.
It's not a panacea, and finding the right parameter you need is pretty frustrating. But it might do enough to help without getting into actual theme editing.
Don't forget to save your changes or they won't stick next time you boot. Save as a new edited theme and it will keep loading it.

Thank you for trying to help me, but it didn’t work out. I could barely see any changes.
I tried to load the dark theme, which does a much better job In highlighting the selected track...but I don’t really like it...maybe I will try it anyway if there are not other solutions.
Cheers

I think you need to familiarise yourself with Reapers theming options.
It's pretty simple to alter the selected background of your theme.
The images you need to change are "tcp_bgsel.png" and "mcl_bgsel.png".
Something like this could improve the visibility of the highlighted track:
The changed images look like this:
It's fun playing around with this.
But be aware that it can get addictive

Thank you Distressor,
This would definitely help. Thing is, I don't even know where to start to find those image you are talking about!
Could you advise the path?
Cheers

In Reaper, click [Options], select "Show REAPER resource path ...", then select ColorThemes. You'll see the .ReaperThemeZip files there.
Details of theme editing can be found in the Themes sub-forum and posts

Thank you very much for your explanation, I went to look there, but I really don't want to mess it up as it is really not my thing.
Cheers

Just make a copy of all originals and start messing around.
It's fun and if you break something you can just replace it with your backup.

you might just try the theme in the above link... basically it is the default with a border added around selected tracks in the TCP and MCP...
The border makes it easy to see what is selected
