Improved/Automatic fx routing improvements? [GR meters and Dual Mono plugins]
So, for fun, I've recently been trying to do a whole mix using only airwindows plugins, and in the process, I've found a few things that, although they are possible to set up in reaper, are annoying to have to set up for every single plugin instance. Especially when it's something that doesn't need to stay in the project for the entire mix. So...
1. Optional gain reduction meters that appear somewhere around the fx window [using the same code as the GR meter plugin]:
At the moment, I'm having to insert a plugin before the compressor, set the output of it as 3+4 (It might work just adding 3+4 to the input of the compressor, but that's still more than I think should be necessary), then add the GR meter plugin and find space onscreen for both the meter and the compressor plugin. I count that as a minimum of 5 clicks over multiple different windows, whereas (ideally) it would take 1 right-click to bring up a context menu, then another to select the GR meter and reaper would handle the routing (preferably without actually having to load the plugin in an fx slot, but just having the code for the meter built into the fx window
2. A dual mono routing option for mono/non-independent stereo plugins [and possibly, if you're going that far for L/R, mid/side encoding/decoding built in as well] with options to link and unlink parameters:
In a similar way to the other request, this is technically possible already (even the m/s processing) but it takes a lot of messing about with duplicating fx AND going into fx windows AND getting the fx in the right order AND then having to go to both plugin instances to change parameters to the same values.
