Default Digidesign DIGI001 / DELL Optiplex 780

Possibly buying such a Dell Minitower or a Desktop (not sure about the exact model yet) .

Anyway I'd like to find out will my DIGI001 PCI-Card fit in the bus of these PCs .

Software-wise I know I'm stuck at Windows 7 32Bit c'os Digidesign / Avid never coded x64 drivers for the DIGI001 .

I have a Nady PRA-8, that I'm about to hook to the DIGI001 and I will be using this set up for recording acoustic drums .
Possibly investing in Behringer ADA8000 / 8200 or such at some point .

Furthermore ...
My drumroom is a 5 square wood-surface space, that already has some acoustic panels . I know I will never get that larger than life drum sound out of it ...
So what do you folks think ... Should I dampen the hell out of it and re-create a room sound with plugins or something like that ?

Thank You for reading out (:

Hi. I used to use my Digi001 but as far as I can remember it wasn't supported past Win XP so maybe you should check compatibility with Win 7.
Having said that it works great on XP with REAPER with no issues as far as I remember.
