Default Volume bursts when toggling Track Volume Envelope visible

Dear Cockos.

Longstanding issue for me, which is very annoying:

- When toggling Track Volume Envelope visible/unvisible on a Track, with a keyboard shortcut, the volume of that Track bursts.

I made an example vid:

Reaper 5.30pre12 - 64bit.
OSX 10.12.1
Macbook Retina 2015.

This happens on pc too. Been mentioned by some users in the past. it aslo happens when unmuting midi tracks, and audio tracks with certain effects on. It's been present since I've started using reaper 6 years ago and It is still annoying as ever.

Hi vanhaze,
try to uncheck "Do not process muted tracks" option in Audio Preferences.
I am not near my Reaper, so I cannot test it for you.

This will definitely solve problem, which is MikComposer talking about = bursts when unmuting track. This is obvious due to nature of that option (it does not process track until you unmute...). When this option is unchecked, muting/unmuting is flawless (but muted tracks consume CPU then).

Maybe this will solve also your situation with automation.

Ok, i find the culprit.
And it's not a bug, it's "user error":

Here we go:

In Preferences , setting "when adding volume/pan envelopes, apply trim to envelope and reset trim:"
was set to "always"
With this setting (and which i didn't noticed at first), The Volume fader of the Track, on which you make the volume envelope visible, is reset to 0db, resulting in the volume burst, after which the volume of that track returned to what it was.

I have now set that setting to "never", resulting in no more reset of Volume fader and thus, no more volume burst.
