Default question about autimating midi velocity I think

Here is my situation. I am using addictive drums as the vsti and I want to program it to trigger different samples at different ranges of velocity as I hit the drum triggers. I don't know if this is something I can do in addictive drums or in the background in reaper and if I need to use a different vsti or even learn how to make my own vsti for this please someone help me figure this out.
thanks in advance.

Hi,
I don't know addictive, but what you are trying to do is called velocity switching.
I'll look into it a bit.
Most of the time it requires some sort of plug in that takes your incoming midi note and spits out different midi notes at specific velocities. And in your sound source you arrange the different snares for ex. on different notes.
