Default Working in hybrid SSD + HDD configuration, is it worth?

Would I benefit in sample streaming from a configuration using this card?

It would be some sort of hybrid configuration, I would use two 120gb msata ssd with two 2-3-4 TB disks.

I already have an SSHD but it doesn't bring me significant improvements.

Anyway it has only 8 GB of SSD cache, here it's a different thing.

Did you try this configuration?

You'll get more bang for the buck managing your hard drives yourself than using the OS hybrid feature.

Simply use your SSD for OS/apps (including sample libraries). The free space is your high performance workspace. Use the big HDD's for storage. (And you'll still be able to launch average or more projects from a HDD in a pinch.)

The OS hybrid feature (or worse, those early generation all in one hybrid drives themselves) are aimed at internet browsing and general use. It's more like having a souped up cache on a standard HDD than having any actual SSD performance available. You want to be able to choose what drive to use for what yourself.

Understood! The problem is that the library I use are very big, I have many TB of libraries and I can't use just one SSD.

In the new PC I'm building I have 1 TB M.2 SSD + 500 GB SSD + 128 GB SSD (OS) + many TB HDD (5 disks).
I'm planning another 1TB M.2 in the future and maybe I'll replace the 128 GB one with a bigger one.

So you are thinking that it doesn't work as expected for streaming libraries.

With this card you can choose also what folders optimize (see the manual).
