"On the fly" playback from media explorer (video)

Can it be made in Reaper like in FL? It saves a lot of time every time I want to listen another loop with tempo matched option.

reaper is a little slower with that, it could be because the peak file (the waveform you see) needs to be generated first.

Faster synced preview would be nice though.

That has to do with the fact that it is starting at the next bar, vs starting immediately with starting point offset (based on tempo matched current position).

That would be nice to have as a playback/preview option though.

I see in your video that you have "start on bar" enabled.
That means that Reaper will wait for the next bar until it plays the selected media file.

Disable that option and see if it's better previewing "on the fly" for you.

For me, it's pretty instant, when i have unchecked "start on bar"

Hi! Yes, but loop will be not matched at the tempo :-)

I watched your youtube video again and noticed that FL Studio synchronizes the preview on 1/4 beats, making it very instant.

Reaper can't.
I guess you can make it a feature request, to have Media explorer sync preview to 1/4 beats, besides syncing to bar.
