Can you please post more info:

- Which Operating System?
- Which Reaper version (and if 32- or 64-bit)?

And what exactly do you mean with 'not recognizing'?
Like it's not possible to select the Focusrite as Audio Device in Reaper's Audio Preferences? Or is something else the problem?

Exactly what ARE you seeing in Reaper's Options/Preferences/Audio/Device/Audio System and /Driver?

Have you got a focusrite option showing in the Audio Device Settings/ASIO Driver box?

Forgot to add a Welcome to the forums, also a recommendation - if you didn't already, download the free user guide and check out some of the excellent free video tutorials - all available free by clicking the download button above this thread.

OK, did you install the Focusrite USB ASIO drivers for the Solo (2nd gen)?
And as ivansc mentioned: when you select Audio System: [ASIO] in Reaper, is something like ASIO Driver: [Focusrite USB Audio] available?

If that's not the case, it might probably be related to the Windows 7 issue mentioned here (a certain Windows update needs to be installed).
See 'Known Issues' under 'Click here for more details' for the Focusrite USB ASIO driver: https://us.focusrite.com/downloads?p...=Scarlett+Solo
