Best cross platform GUI for trees like this
I'm struggling with the tree view UI for the control surface project I'm working on.
Starting to think it might be easier to do 2 UI's, one for Mac, one for Win.
Here's an approximation of what I'm looking for:
http://forum.cockos.com/attachment.p...1&d=1496336870
Actually a bit more complex, each node will have various controls attached, depending on context (dropdown, text entry, checkbox, etc.)
Any ideas on a cross platform toolkit that can do this relatively painlessly ?

I think you will probably need to do something pretty custom for that, no matter what framework you use.

I think you said you ruled out JUCE anyway already for this project in another thread, but if not, maybe its ValueTree component would help ? (there's a simple demo of it in the Juce demo project).

Thanks, yeah, JUCE is back on because of the ValueTree, it's the winner so far in the quest as far as cross platform contenders.

ValueTree isn't a GUI component though...You will need to implement the visualization and editing of that yourself.

Yes I meant the ValueTree demo, that GUI is a nice example to start from. has drag and drop and some other goodies already.
Seem to recall there is a constructor somewhere that I have to override to generate the GUI components for a node, still researching...
