Default Midi track to manual pitch correction in Reatune

Hi!

I am looking to populate automatically the "manual" tuning notes in Reatune from a midi track. I am currently doing that process manually as a base for tuning numerous amateur voices. Does anyone knows how to automate that process?

I don't think you can with ReaTune. But try using GSnap, with it you can side-chain MIDI to achieve what you want. And in many cases I think that GSnap does a better tuning job than ReaTune.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions! I'll investigate into that tonight. GSnap looks closer to what I am looking for in my editing context.

p.s. btw Michael, "Boa sorte" is the name of the brazilian song of one of my projects.

When my band "Boa Sorte" was founded, we had a singer (f) who was born in Rio. So we did this song - which seems to be the unofficial Brazilian national hymn - with her (featuring my son as a guest singer). Did you listen to our version ? -> https://soundcloud.com/user-213300358/boa-sorte

Interesting version! somewhat distant from the orignal but that's the point! Having a "natively speaking Portuguese" signer with a good diction is "legal" like they say in Minas

Hi, I also advise you to try with GSnap, and let us know if it works

I finally tried it and it looks promising. It doesn't quite do what I need for my current project but it may be related to my lack of experience with it. I'll definitely play with it more for the next choir project. Thx.

Edit (nov16): I just retried GSNAP more carefully for my new projects and it is definitely saving a lot time compared to ReaTune. It just happened not to be applicable to the very specific context of my previous big project.
