Default best arm microphone stand thingy for desks

hey there,

what is a good arm for holding up a mic on a desk? something that clamps on and I can move around easily without worrying that its gonna fall down with the weight of an sm7b or RE20 or condensor?

also, what about one I can attach to a stand, too to get different mic placement options?

You can get a boom that will attach to your desk and a boom that will attach to a mic stand. A Google search should bring up plenty of options.

I've been seeing many options, some very inexpensive. However, I worry about quality. I'm looking for something cheap but good. So I'm in need of some suggestion

I have a similar one to the above boom arm. I made a couple of simple changes as the screw on part is flimsy. As mine hangs from a wall shelf, I cut the screw bit off and drilled the top plate so I could put a screw through the mount right into the top shelf. Works a treat.

got this one here:

since it's not going anywhere it should work just fine even if the brand is cheap.

I bought an Etubby model on amazon recently and it's working fine. it's holding up an MXL condenser mic and feels like it could hold something heavier:
