Request for JS effect
I guess I posted this in the wrong thread.
This one involves some string matching and array searching.
I'm trying to write it myself, but it might be a bit too much for my first JS coding attempt.

Thanks!

No interest?
I guess it's time to bite the bullet and learn coding so I can do it myself.

Why do you need to do the string matching thing? Can't you just create a text file for each mapping, or one file with all of the mappings, and assign a name, or even just a number for each instrument? I'm guessing that all you need is a list of the instrument names, or numbers, and the corresponding MIDI note number for each mapping.

BTW, learning coding is a slippery slope. Since I started on JS, I don't have time to write music any more, my life is in tatters and my therapist is in dispair.

This is explained in the linked post - I want a smarter approach, one that won't require excessive effort and time each time I try a new VSTi.
"Neat drum VSTI - too bad I have to create 10 new cross-patch scripts to try it out with my existing gear..."
